About Me

Kelsey Kraaima – A Queen City Blonde

I’m Kelsey Kraaima (cray-muh) – a Queen City blonde. I’ve been doing hair  since 2007 and I specialize in creating soft, dimensional color that looks natural. But I love a good fashion color as well! I love doing short pixie cuts, as well as long hair, or making a mermaid with the help of extensions. I can recommend what looks best with your skin tone and face shape.

I relocated to Charlotte in the summer of 2018 from Utah. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a hairstylist because I love being creative and making people feel good about themselves. I decided to start beauty school as a junior in high school and graduated two months before high school graduation at just 17 years old. As soon as I graduated, I immediately started working at an Aveda salon and have been helping people look and feel more beautiful ever since! 

When I’m not at the salon, I enjoy doing yoga, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with my husband,  crazy dog, and two (even crazier) boys.

As a 51 year old woman, I have had many hairdressers. I can honestly say without a doubt that Kelsey is the absolute best hairdresser I’ve ever had. I have never been disappointed in any of my haircuts. She listens to what I want and offers honest opinions and gives me what I’m expecting. Love her!

I went to Kelsey with the worst covid hair! My hair was really grey and my previous hairdresser had over bleached my hair it was a mess. Kelsey is a miracle worker she gave my hair dimension and shine! I highly recommend her!!

I just moved to charlotte this summer and was in the middle of a blonde-life-crisis. I wanted to keep my natural dimensional blonde, but wanted to go brighter all over without damaging my hair. Kelsey was amazing!! I had never done anything to my hair before so i was nervous but she made me feel so comfortable and explained what she was doing every step of the way!! I couldn’t have asked for it to come out any better! I will definitely be back 💗💗
